South Beach is a neighborhood and a beach in Miami Florida and one of the hot spots of rich and famous including Hollywood stars Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez. South Beach or Sobe as it affectionately called is different from many of the other vacation spots celebrities choose to visit. Places like Carbo San Lucas, Bora Bora and other get-a-ways are often sought after by Hollywood stars who are seeking a relaxing vacation and a bit privacy. South Beach however, is where the Hollywood set goes to be seen, to party, to shop and sometimes to make headlines.
As part of the thriving city of Miami, South Beach offers an array of world class establishments and like the rest of the city seems to draw people from all walks of life, especially the rich and powerful. The area is filled with hundreds of night clubs, Restaurants, and Boutiques all eager to cater to the rich and powerful. Miami and South Beach attracts visitors from all over the world especially Europe so that the city has a well blended influence of old and modern values mixed together which makes this area very appealing.
It is not unusual for visitors to Miami and particularly the South Beach area to catch a glimpse of Hollywood stars, Famous musicians, and even sports figures eating in the higher class restaurants or wondering the streets during an afternoon of shopping in their favorite boutiques.
On any given night you can usually find someone that is rich and famous including members of Hollywood enjoying and evening of dancing in one of the night clubs of the area, and even occasionally sunning themselves on the beach itself.
Winter Escape
During the winter months, South Beach makes a nice weekend winter escape for those Hollywood stars who enjoy the nightlife of Miami to spend some time away from LA. And some do so with regularity. Part of the pull of South Beach and Miami is the sheer vitality of the city. Anyone who enjoys excitement can find it here. However, stars also find that the city offers some wonderful and diverse cuisine, some private rooms where they can relax, and of course those wonderful boutiques where shopping is pure pleasure.
For some of the Hollywood crowd South Beach offers them the opportunity to walk around shopping, and take part in activities that normal everyday people enjoy while for others it gives them a chance to be seen my the movers and shakes in the world and allows them to hob nob with people in sports, finance, and other fields removed from the Hollywood scene.
Interestingly enough most of the stars who gravitate to South Beach do for often, but only for a few days or a long week end. While it is a popular place to be visited by Hollywood stars, these same stars prefer their extended vacations to be somewhere quieter and less hectic. Perhaps, part of the draw of South Beach for all visitors is the continual changing of people who choose to visit this area. It simply adds to the excitement and dynamics of Miami as a whole and South Beach in particular.
