Why Movie Stars Love Spending Vacation Time On Maui

Let’s face it, there are times when all of us would love to get away to a tropical paradise and just relax, take in the scenery, and spent time on a white sandy beach. Celebrities and Hollywood stars are no different than the rest of us. A tropical paradise holds as much appeal for the rich and famous as it does for the average joe, and Maui is a tropical paradise that has much to offer.

For any start on a tight production schedule choosing to spend a long weekend or week on Maui between during the breaks in a shoot only makes sense since it is one of the closest tropical get-a-ways to LA. Why spend half a day in the air, when in just a couple of hours you can relaxing on a beach soaking up some sun? In fact, so many stars and other celebrities choose the quiet beaches, first class resorts and the fun night life of this island get-a-way that it has been said that you can spot more stars on Maui than you can if you actually visit LA. While this may not be entirely true it gives you some idea of how popular of a vacation spot Maui is among the stars. In fact, many stars enjoy the Island so much that some even have a second, or even third home right on the Island, where they can enjoy the spectacular sites, the white sandy beaches and the privacy they crave. Both Woody Harrelson and Helen Hunt own homes on the Island, and this is one of Megan Fox’s favorite vacation spots.

It’s Not All Star Treatment

While there are plenty of resorts on Maui that are more than happy to cater to the rich and famous, one of the draws of this island just may be that the people of Maui and the other Hawaiian islands don’t seem to as star crazy on people on the mainland. Here stars are treated with by the residents with the same casual friendliness that they treat everyone with without all the gawking, starring, and demands for autographs. For those who spend so much time in spotlight and being fawned over, being treat like every one else is probably incredibly refreshing.

Spectacular Beautiful Surroundings

Let’s face it, stars aren’t completely immune to wonders of nature and the beauty of natural surrounding and Maui offers not only some very spectacular beaches, but also great sunrises and sunsets and plenty of beautiful flora for anyone who loves nature. It is truly a beautiful island, the fact that it is part of Hawaii, and many movies have been shot on location on various islands, stars can’t help but feel a natural connection to this island state.
In the final analysis, stars love to vacation on Maui for the same reason that everyone else does. It has great climate, beautiful beaches, great food, plenty of things to do, and it makes a wonderful break from day to day life of the city.
